Wow!! :O So how did you execute this exactly? I've been trying to figure out the least painful/tedious way to make a good brain hat and I can't figure it out just quite... Did you make the beanie first, and then sew a very long strip/coil of crochet onto the hat, or did you crochet it on top of the hat, or add the squiggles somehow while making the hat?? It looks fantastic! My first attempt is sad in comparison XD [link]

I actually found the pattern in Crochet Today magazine one halloween. But here are some in progress shots I didn't upload. I had to make an outline of where the brain parts went [link]

And then I just crochetted an outline, and then put 2 sc in each stitch around for like 3 or 4 rows

I hope that helps! It took a looong time. Like 70 hours or something. I had to make the beanie first. and yours looks great too!
